The United Nations Security Council Committee oversees the implementation by States of the sanctions imposed on individuals and entities belonging or related to the Taliban, Usama Bin Laden and the Al-Qaida organization and maintains a list of individuals and entities for this purpose. In resolutions 1267 (1999), 1333 (2000), 1390 (2002) and 1455 (2003) the Security Council obliged all States to freeze the assets, prevent the entry into or the transit through their territories, and prevent the direct or indirect supply, sale and transfer of arms and military equipment with regard to the individuals/entities included on the list.
